I have yet to find a sharpener to make it to the end of the year. Anyone have one that can handle 200 kids day? One that can tough out colored pencils and regular ones too?

I'd look in to an x-acto brand. I've had mine for at least two years, and I know most of them have warranties (some for as long as 10 years). Nasco has quite a few :)

I use prismacolor green container sharpeners. They work well with 3rd-5th graders but younger children struggle with them . I use color sticks with all grades. They don't require sharpening and color really well.

I agree with lightARTed! Use these only!! Works for prisma, ebony, #2, charcoal….Never breaks, works for everything! Easy to clean, unclog and use. Have 3 scattered around room. Kids don't use hand held small ones any longer.
