What is the youngest age that you have found can successfully use the plastic looms (and metal crochet hook) to make a weaving with stretchy loops? (I know the product is described as a "potholder" but I prefer it to be a "coaster." It seems just too small in the end to be something you would touch a hot item with!)

Is this a good idea? And does anyone have any great ideas on how to introduce this in the beginning of the year?

Currently each quarter I write synopsis, fill out a check lists and write a paragraph comment per kid. We are looking at compressing this since it is quite lengthy. Thanks!

The counselor asked me to come up with a curriculum that he could do at home to assist with fine motor skills and creative expression. Any advice would be great!
