Symbols of My Life

In this lesson students will be given the opportunity to explore the world of symbols by creating a symbol that is meaningful to them.

THE PLAN
1 session; 45 minutes per session
1. Students will be able to identify the purpose of symbols.
2. Students will be able to clearly communicate their ideas through their simplified symbol.
3. Students will share their symbols with one another at the end of class.
1. Sketch paper
2. Pencils (dull for scratching into foam)
3. Scratch Foam
4. Crayola washable markers
5. Sponges
6. Water Buckets
7. Watercolor Paper for printing
