Students create a non-objective abstract piece of art combining tape resist painting and Zentangles.

white paper ( I use tag board)
masking tape/painters tape
paint & paintbrushes
black sharpies

*Tape paper
Tape may end or begin from the edge of the paper or another piece of tape but should not end in the middle on nowhere.
Make sure students do not add too much tape.

*Paint the paper with tempera/acryllic/watercolor
Students may choose a color family such as warm/cold colors, monochromatic, etc...

*When dry, peel tape off slowly.

*Use black sharpie to add patterns to the white areas. (Zentangles)

You can relate this to how house painters paint designs on walls in a room, ex. show video from HGTV
