Lend Me A Hand : Value Drawing

Students will learn about value using a outline of their hand.

THE PLAN
1. SWBAT learn about value.

1. Drawing paper

2. Marker, crayons or colored pencils

3. Scissors

4. Glue

5. Pencil

6. Black paper to mount work on

7. Ruler

1. On a sheet of drawing paper students will trace an outline of their hand.

2. Next select a color family that you will be going from light to dark with. (Blue, red, green, etc.)

3. With a ruler separate your hand into sections.

4. In each section put patterns, designs, numbers and even letters inside. Starting with the lightest color and getting darker in each section.

5. Cut out the outline of your hand and erase any pencil marks.

6. Paste your hand onto a sheet of black paper. Sign your name on the back and turn in.
