Keeping within bounds of the sheet of paper they are drawing on, students will use that shape for inspiration to create a scene. A great way to get rid of leftover scraps of paper.

THE PLAN
1. White paper
2. Construction paper or small poster board to mount art to.
1. Select the sheet of paper that will be drawn on. Students can use leftover scraps, geometric shapes or randomly cut sheets of paper.
2. It's brainstorming time! Have students think about what they see when they stare at the blank sheet of paper. Encourage students to use the shape of the paper to their advantage.
3. Once they have an idea planned out then it's time to start drawing it. Students are free to use whatever art supplies they want to color it with.
4. Once completed mount it to a sheet of construction paper or poster board.
This lesson plan is all about using their imaginations. It also makes a great exercise to help loosen up before working on other types of art projects.
