Watercolor Webs

THE PLAN
2 sessions; 35 minutes per session

1. SWBAT create Halloween decorations using watercolors.

1. Watercolor paper

2. Watercolor paint w/ brushes

3. Black paper

4. Glue

5. Scissors

6. White crayon

Day 1

1. Pressing hard draw web patterns across the watercolor paper with white crayons. The webs will show through the paint.

2. Pick out a few colors and with a very wet brush begin covering the paper. Don't worry if your colors bleed into each other. That's what you want it to do. Let dry.

Day 2.

3. With black paper cut out the outline of a few spiders and glue them down to your watercolor paper.

Decorate the classroom with these watercolor webs to get everybody in the Halloween spirit.
