1. Using a 12 x18 sheet of paper, students place a centerpoint in a location of their choosing (as long as it is relatively close to the center)

2. Students use a ruler on their centerpoint, and draw 6 lines through the point and all the way off the paper (creating 12 sections). Sections do not need to be even.

3. Students create a center shape of their choosing
-Remind students that they will have to paint whatever they draw
-This will be the white center

4. Students will choose 3 different font styles. They will choose one font for the Primary colors, another for the secondary and a third for the tertiary.

5. Students will use the font as inspiration and write the words in pencil of the color in the correct section on the color wheel. For the tertiary colors they will write the word tertiary.

6. Students will use a black sharpie to trace over their pencil lines, including the center shape and lines inbetween each section.

7. Students will use watercolor pencils to color in the primary sections. They will press hard toward the center and lighter as the color spreads outward create value. Once colored they will paint over the section with water.

8. Students will use watercolor pencils (only the primary colors) to color in and create secondary color sections. They will press hard toward the center and lighter as the color spreads outward to create value. Once colored they will paint over the section with water.

9. Students will use watercolor pencils (only the primary colors) to color in and create the tertiary color sections. They will press hard toward the center and lighter as the color spreads outward to create value. Once colored they will paint over the section with water.
