Pyramid

Student uses cardstock to create a pyramid and an Egyptian diorama.

THE PLAN
2 sessions; 40 minutes per session

SWBAT create a pyramid and Egyptian diorama.

1. Thin cardstock
2. Scissors
3. Pencil
4. Glue
5. A brush and water 2o spread glue.

1. Cutout pyramid from handout.
2. Score fold lines with scissors.
3. Use markers to create brick pattern on pyramid.
4. Apply glue to tabs on cardstock pyramid.
5. Apply pressure and contact to glue pyramid together.
6. Fold cardstock sheet to make background and support for pyramid.
7. Put scenery details on upright portion of cardstock. Palm trees, sand and sun in the sky as details.
8. Apply details of base for pyramid such as sand and Nile River.
9. Glue the pyramid to the base of sand and with Nile River.
10. Cutout two triangles of material to glue on background section for holding it up.
11. Glue these onto back of background.
12. Sign your name and section on work.



Makes a nice cross curriculum lesson.
