Created on August 28, 2013 by MsLundstrum

1. Demonstrate and provide guided practice on facial features
- Eyes
- Noses
- Mouths
2. Review the proportions of the human face
3. Discuss album art
4. Talk about how music can connect to memories.
5. Students select a (school appropriate) album cover. The album would contain a song which describes or summarizes their year of school.
6. Grid the original image
7. Draw the album cover
8. Use media of choice. Add personal voice through technique, color, etc.

Students will use a rubric to evalaute their own work and their peer's work.

Students will also create a short artist statement to accompany their work.

Since this project requires copyrighted imagery, it is important not to publish the artwork online and it is important to credit the original artist and musician. Explain copyright to students as well.

I displayed mine in the hallway at the end of the year. It sparked some great conversations.
