Kente cloth is a royal form of woven fabric among the Ashanti people of Ghana. Kente cloth features a woven look that includes an array of patterns and color, including geometric shapes and designs. Second grade students created their own kente cloth designs by cutting a paper loom and weaving thick and thin strips together to form a beautiful piece of art.

Learn to draw "Hearts" by simple tracing. There are two pages of hearts, one for early elementary Grades K-3 and Keith Haring hearts for Grades 4-5. Make copies for students. Fold in half lengthwise, or hot dog style. Trace over printed hearts. Open paper then trace on right side. Continue until you have 4 sets of hearts. Students will be tracing 12 hearts when done. The last Keith Haring Heart is a challenge.
