Where do you get the majority of your art supplies? Online? The Dollar Store?

I buy most of my supplies from a local school supply store here in OKC called Porch School Supply, but everything I can't get from there I get from SAX. I buy from them because over the years they have the best customer service, their brand is high quality, and their prices are great.

I also go with Sax/School Specialty. Their prices seem to be the lowest among our school's suppliers. Like Mikellee31 I have gotten very good customer service and quality supplies as well. Blick is great but much more expensive for most things unless you hit a sale. Other than that Walmart is always there in a time of need.

Sax/School Specialty gives our district a pretty good discount so we go with them whenever possible. I really like the fact that they have a broad selection to choose from for each item we purchase. I agree with Mikellee31 and imagiNATION, they're really good about answering questions and dealing with problems in a timely manner. We also have professional development with their area reps at least once a year.

I purchase what I can from Office Depot (our school has an account), Items I can't find from OD I order from Triarco, sometimes SAX. I purchase items with my own money from walmart (online), and Micheals Arts and Crafts.

I get the vast majority of mine from Blick. My district orders quite a bit from them and I get a 20% discount from the catalog prices. I'm a little biased due to the fact that I worked for Blick during grad school and the store manager that I worked for is still super helpful when it comes to my supply orderes. The only thing I don't order from Blick is clay. I get my clay from a local supplier called Columbus Clay.

Sax/School Specialty, almost exclusively. I usually get my Artsonia money in Dick Blick gift certificates.

School Specialty gives our school a huge discount, but anything they don't have I use Sax and Blick. LOVE Blick!

Our district likes us to use Nasco and I also purchase supplies from the $1. store and of course Michael's (with a coupon). I have also frequented Home Depot for certain materials.

I use School Specialty mostly as well because of the discount, they usually tend to be the cheapest to stretch a budget. I buy a lot at the hardware store as well!

Dick Blick is fabulous, and I like Discount School Supplies for liquid watercolors and tempera paint.

I use Nasco Art supply Company to order most of my supplies. That company gives my school district a 20% off discount and provides excellent customer support. I used to order from Sax; but on several occasions they shipped acrylic paints, ceramic glazes, and ModPodge without sealing or taping the lids, and some of the lids became loose; causing leaks and spills which damaged the other supplies. Improper packaging was the reason why I did not continue to order from them. Blick is also pretty good; but service is quite slow.

Since a big chunk of my supplies comes out of my own pocket, I tend to shop at Jerry's Artarama online. I can order from them during their Super Sales and get really good deals. Plus there isn't one in KS so I don't have to pay taxes and I usually have a large enough order that shipping is free. Through the school, when they approve an order, I usually go with Dick Blick.

Most of my orders (80-90%) are through Dick Blick. They run great specials and the school gets a discount. In a pinch, It's also very convenient to be able to have a local branch of Blick and know that the materials are consistent.

I've found the best prices at United Art and Education!
