I'm really interested to hear if anyone is using "Problem Based Learning" in the art room? I'd like to incorporate it into my grade 12 class, but I'm at a loss for where to start. There is more information on Wikipedia, if you're interested. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Problem-based_learning Thanks.

Art lends itself really well to inclusion. I usually do quite well at accommodating my lesson plans for everyone's needs. But I have a severely autistic child coming into my classroom this year and I want to meet their needs to the best of my ability. Any lesson plan ideas or advice?

I know there aren't a whole lot of Canadians out there yet, but it's only a matter of time. If this group can get big enough maybe we can even branch off into provinces! The smART teacher has been a great resource so far and I can't wait to share it with my peers this fall!

In 2008, we did a giant post-it note wall. It ended up being an impressive installation piece that got us on the news. Each post-it told of an important issue, a quote, a fact about the candidate, or opinions from the student body about the candidates. Anyone else planning something along these lines?

What's a good way to cover them all in the beginning with a little hands-on learning? Could be a journal assignment, worksheets, project etc…
