DAY 1
1. explain and demo contour drawing (drawing the outside shape of an object)
2. Explain how students will closely observe the object (gloves) looking for details. They are like a scientist!
3. Ask what is texture? (how something feels) Ask them how can they make marks that might look like the texture of the glove?
4. Draw some examples on the board.
5. have students practice doing small, observational drawings of a glove on the scratch paper. do 2-3, about 15-20 minutes.
6. Talk about results and what marks they like and can use in the final drawing.

DAY 2 and 3
1. use the good drawing paper and have students draw 1 glove on the paper, filling the page, using the observational skills they learned from last session. Start with the contour edge and fill in with the textured patterns.
2. after they finish with the pencil, they can choose to color in with colored pencils or markers. ( they can even outline with a waterproof black marker and do a watercolor painting)
3. have them use GROVEY colors to give personality to the glove, color the background too.
