Students learn about warm and cool colors.
Students learn different ways of tracing and understand its use in leaning how to draw.
Students learn how to use water-soluble oil pastels, oil pastels, and watercolor.

Students choose a photo of a sea turtle and trace it using either light from a window or a light board.

Students may add seaweed and plants.

Students use the water-soluble oil pastels on their turtles, watercolor background, and can further outline and enhance the lines with oil pastels.

Print out a variety of sea turtles swimming at different angles for students to trace.
