Praise Notes - Positive Reinforcement for Elementary Grades

Created on September 02, 2012 by allisonmp

This is a behavior "praise note" to send home with students that went above and beyond. Being that I am on a six-day rotation in an elementary school, I see the students every six school days. I choose a couple of students each class that really stand out and fill out this letter, make a copy for myself for record-keeping, and I send it home. It shows the homeroom teachers that you are managing behavior positively on an individual basis as well as giving students something to look forward to. (Not to mention parents appreciate receiving these, especially when they may not receive positive contact regularly.) I try to make sure every student receives one by the end of the year. *It has all of my information on it, which can obviously be altered to fit your position.*

This is great way to communicate with parents! Too often they only hear from us when something goes wrong; they should hear from us when things go right too!
