THE PLAN
2 sessions; 40 minutes per session

Students will create a drawing of an Egyptian God that demonstrates an understanding of how ancient Egyptians drew the figure. Their drawings will demonstrate their knowledge of hieroglyphics, Egyptian Gods, and the importance of afterlife. Students will use hieroglyphic writing in the frame of their artwork.

Bell work: Which culture came after the caveman that holds a high importance in art history?
1. Demonstration of how to draw a figure showing both frontal and profile view.
2. The students will add a headdress to their god or goddess using handouts.
3. Use hieroglyphs to write a description of who and what about your Egyptian god or goddess.
4. Sign your name on the back. Put grade and class hour on the back also. If this is missing, then it is automatic F for assignment.
