Middle [6th-8th] Unit Plan

6th Grade Greek Unit

Created on November 11, 2012 by MrsImpey

I use this packet for my Ancient Greek unit in art class. It aligns with what students are learning in social studies. This packet includes vocabulary, space to sketch/plan the art projects, and reflection questions to incorperate the Common Core in art. If you would like to see the power point I use, please contact me as it is too large to upload.

Use the packet as a guide. It is set up to be used in the unit from start to finish.

Students should be assessed on each project based on how they used the materials, how well they understand Greek art and imitated it in their projects, as well as craftsmanship. A rubric may be created, or you can use their self-reflection at the end as a grade.

I have also included a quick reference sheet that I created of the Greek gods and goddesses. Again, if you would like to see the power point I use, please contact me as it is too large to upload.
