Created on August 12, 2013 by Whimber

Here's an easy way to help students learn how to critique artwork. By using the Facebook icons, students can like and comment on others' work.

2. computer/printer

1. Display students artwork around the classroom.
2. Demonstrate how to critique artwork. (i.e.- could show an example of using a comment box. Writing- you work is well balanced.)
3. Give each student a cut out "like" icon and a comment box. Have them place the icons next to art they like.
4. Read and discuss the statements and "likes" the students placed next to the artwork.

Students can be assessed on the quality of their comments. Can they explain their statements.

This is a good way to introduce critiques to a class. It also gives the students a lot confidence when others' "like" their work!
