Students will draw and list facts about musical instruments that start with the same letters as the student's first and last name. This lesson plan will help students learn about different kinds of instruments they never knew about.

THE PLAN
4 sessions; 35 minutes per session

1. SWBAT research instruments that start with the same letter as their first and last name.
2. SWBAT draw instruments.
3. SWBAT list at least 5 facts about their instruments.

1. Pencil
2. Colored pencil
3. Markers
4. Ink pens
5. Paper

1. Use the internet or books to find pictures of the instruments you want to draw.
2. Draw both instruments on the same sheet of paper.
3. Color your drawing.
4. Under each instrument write down its name.
5. At the top of the paper write your initials.
6. On a separate sheet of paper write down at least 5 facts about each of your instruments.

For extra credit students can draw and list facts about instruments for each of the letters in their name.
