Teacher shows students a print/image of 'Starry Night' and discuss the life/history of van Gogh.

Teacher discusses with students what they see from their window/in their backyard.

Teacher demonstrates how to draw starry night style stars/sky with crayons

Students draw a picture of their backyard/out their window.

Teacher demonstrates how to paint over crayon with watercolor and discusses the meaning of resist.

Students overpaint image with watercolor to create a night 'effect'.
