Unit plan that includes day to day breakdown of lessons and instructions for high school students to create EZ cut prints.

THE PLAN
9 sessions; 55 minutes per session

Objectives:
The student will learn that:
1. A self-portrait is a representation of an artist that is drawn, painted, photographed or otherwise created by the artist.

The student will be able to:
1. Draw a contour line self-portrait
2. Use that drawing to create a image to use for an EZ cut block print
3. Carve the image into the EZ cut block
4. Print the block using multiple ink colors and papers

Table files with images, 9 x 12 in newsprint paper, 9 x 12 in drawing paper, pencils, tracing paper, black sharpie markers, mirrors, ink, brayers, EZ cut blocks, carving tools, buckets, sponges, soap, water, newspaper to cover tables, paper towels, colored construction paper, assortment of found papers to print on. (Newspapers, paper scraps, other prints, magazine articles, menus)
