1. SWBAT learn about and create an abstract painting of a galaxy.

1. Paint brushes
2. Acrylic paint
3. Paper towels
4. Old or plastic cup to fill with water
5. Thick sheet of paper.

1. Go online and check out galaxy pictures to use as inspiration and to give you an idea on what colors you want to use.

2. Choose your colors and start painting with your brushes. You can also use a crumbled up paper towel to paint with. Using the tip of your brush splatter paint with you fingers to create the appearance of stars. (Multiple layers with different colors works best.)
