Thanksgiving Collage

This is a one page worksheet where the students cut and paste copies of vintage postcards to make their own collage in the space provided.

THE PLAN
1 session; 50 minutes per session

1. SWBAT discuss same/different Thanksgiving customs and designs from early 1900's based on the postcards.
2. SWBAT cut out images neatly
3. SWBAT use art elements in a way to make a pleasing collage.

1. Copy of Thanksgiving Art Worksheet
2. Scissors
3. Markers
4. Glue

1. Students will write their name on the top.
2. Students will cut off bottom half of the vintage postcards.
3. Students will cut out the images neatly.
4. Students will lay out the images before gluing. Students may draw own images in blank spaces if desired.
5. Students will glue pieces in place
6. Students may make embellishments

This collage will be used as a Thanksgiving Card for parents.
