Staying Interactive with Review in Elementary

Created on March 03, 2015 by RVArtist

How can you keep review and down time interactive? How can students quiz each other, themselves, and learn new words when you are occupied with the rest of the class? In my classroom I have an interactive word wall using old library card pockets that I encourage students to stay active with when they are finished with a project or don't know what a word means. The pockets are laminated with a word written in whiteboard marker on the front. In the pocket I have the definition or a visual of what the word means. This makes for great review games. In the back of my room on a metal cover to some hidden AC unit I have a magnetic paint chips that I have cut up. Students are encouraged to put the colors in order from dark to light or shade to tint.
