This is a PowerPoint on how to create 3D fish from recycled 2 liter soda bottles.

THE PLAN
1. SWBAT become more aware of recycling and the environment through the creation of a sculpture using recycled materials.
2. SWBAT use recycled soda bottles in the creation of 3D fish.
3. SWBAT incorporate pattern in their designs.
1. 2 liter soda bottle
2. crayola gel fx markers, black permanent markers, color sharpies
3. fishing line
4. exacto knife
5. stapler
6. scissors
7. paper, pencils, and erasers for practice drawings
8. hot glue
1. Cut the bottom end of the bottle and wash inside and out. Dry.
2. Draw the eyes, scales, fin, and other decorative parts of a fish with a black sharpie on the outside of the bottle.
3. Add color with Crayola gel markers and sharpies.
4. Cut two slits in the top and tie fishing line to hang or hot glue to the bottom end of the bottle for a table sculpture.
5. Lastly, staple the end and cut the tail to look like a fish!

I love the humor in this project! It would also be cool to use the clear pop bottles and create an ocean in a bottle inside the fish!
