Preparing For the Ball

Let's prepare for the ball. This assignment will allow students to make a masquerade ball mask.

THE PLAN
5 sessions; 40 minutes per session

1. SWBAT make a masquerade ball mask from a paper plate.
2. SWBAT use different materials to express their design.

1. Paper plate
2. Paint
3. Glue
4. Glitter
5. Crayons
6. Colored Pencils
7. Scissors
8. Xacto knife/knife(Adults only)
9. Tape

1. Draw eye holes on the paper plate. (2 minutes)
2. Cut out eye holes. (5 minutes)
3. Cut the paper plate in half. (1 minute)
4. Decorate your mask. (30 minutes)
5. Attach wooden skewer to the back of the paper plate. (2 minutes)

Students will be assessed on participation and effort.
