I prepared a PowerPoint presentation of images by artists and links to artist sites that explore protest in their artwork. I ended the presentation with examples of protest posters ranging from the women’s right to vote -suffragettes movement to black lives matter. This was the resource I created for a project in which my students designed and executed a protest poster on a historical social movement.

I could share the PowerPoint I made...
My AP class made these designs and they were ultimately used by our dance program for a performance that focused on the work of Simon and Garfunkel. The dancers carried the posters and then displayed them. The student felt very proud of there work. One of the stipulations of the project was that they would have to want to carry their poster.
