Using a photo editing software students create an advertisement poster for a live performance for a made up band.

THE PLAN
5 sessions; 75 minutes per session

1. SWBAT understand how to use brushes and text in an digital imaging software
2. SWBAT load new brushes in a digital imaging software.
3. SWBAT create their own brushes in a digital imaging software.
4. SWBAT use text in a digital imaging software.

1. Computers w/access to the internet
2. Digital imaging software such as Photoshop, Gimp, etc.

1. Teacher shows examples of historical and contemporary Rock posters and discusses commonalities among them.
2. Students analyze posters for use of color, harmony/unity, balance
3. Teacher demonstrates how to use brushes and text inside a digital imaging software to create a 'rock poster'
